Sue Gill

Sue Gill has been exhibiting her bold expressionistic and painterly work on paper and canvas since 1990. Sue studied visual arts at Swinburne Institute and the Victorian College of the arts in Melbourne, before moving to Sydney where she attained her postgraduate degree at the City Art Institute.

Her work is held in government, private and corporate collections in Australia, Singapore, Germany and the USA.

Sue’s paintings are a reflection of her relationship to the sights and sounds of her environment, especially the ocean (she is a enthusiastic surfer).

Her main influences are Jackson Pollock, Rufino Tamyo, Richard Sierra and Robert Motherwell.
